" <br /> Mr. Greelish amended his recommendation into the form of <br /> a motion, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> Mr. Pesce recommended Board members advise the Guard Bu- <br /> reau in writing that with the endorsement of the Board of Se- <br /> lectmen, the Board of Health would lake to make every effort <br /> in trying to resolve the issue, in spite of the fact that a <br /> "Notice of Intent of a Law Suit" has been filed, and wish to <br /> notify the Bureau the Board is now an active participating <br /> member representing the public health interests of the town. " <br /> GROUNDWATER REGIONAL HYDRO-GEO EFFORT AND CURRENT POND ISSUE <br /> Mr. Pesce* relayed, "Core samples were taken which indi- <br /> cate tight, clay and loose sediments. " "There does not ap- <br /> pear to be an impervious barrier to the bottom, of the pond. " <br /> "Samples were taken for chemical analysis which are currently <br /> being reviewed. " Mr: -Pesce presented plans which delineate <br /> the contamination plumes entering John's and Ashumet Ponds <br /> and stated, "If the Board were to question me as to whether <br /> 50% of the west Briarwood area is potentially contaminated I <br /> would answer yes. " "The Task Force recommendations have been <br /> adopted by us and will continue which includes the fish sam- <br /> pling. " "The samples of the fish flesh have not shown con- <br /> taminants that have exceeded action levels for anything other <br /> than mercury. " "Results are pending on the sediment samples <br /> that were taken. " "The next T.E.A.C. meeting will be held <br /> November 3 , 1993 . " <br /> APPOINTMENT: Michael Grotske - 13 Wheelhouse Lane and 23 <br /> Waterline Drive <br /> Mr. Michael Grotske was in attendance for this scheduled <br /> appointment. <br /> 13 WHEELHOUSE LANE -- Mr. Grotske relayed, "Three successive <br /> pert tests were performed on the lot. " "Perc results were <br /> 1/2 minute per inch. " "We are requesting a State sideline <br /> variance and variance from the reserve. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The abutting owner has questioned <br /> the project and was lead to believe it is not a buildable <br /> lot. " <br /> Mr. Greelish questioned whether there is a discrepancy <br /> in the previously established water level. <br />
