MINUTES October 14, 1993 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> prohibits any increase in habitable space and no objections <br /> are received from the direct abutter, (DeMurs) , Mr. Ball sec- <br /> onded, all agreed. <br /> *****OLD BUSINESS***** <br /> Briarwood <br /> Mr. Ball relayed, "After meeting with the Water District <br /> it was agreed they would waive the $500.00 hook-up fee. " <br /> "They would not agree to waive the $500.00 systems develop- <br /> ment fee but allotted a 12 month payment plan for those <br /> residents who are financially overburdened. " "I would recom- <br /> mend this Board request the Selectmen waive the plumbing ap- <br /> plication fee. " <br /> Board members agreed to request the Selectmen waive the <br /> plumbing application fee. " <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "I have learned an owner in the <br /> Briarwood area is leasing his home. " "I would recommend this <br /> - Board -require public water hook-up. " <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> 34 Tritown Circle <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "As the owner is renting the dwelling I <br /> would recommend this Board require public water hook-up. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "Commonwealth Electric agreed to re- <br /> turn power once 50% of the bill was paid. " "Subsequently, I <br /> contacted the tenant who relayed his wife had just left to <br /> pay 500 of the past due invoice. " <br /> Mr. Greelish questioned Mr. McQuaid as to the condition <br /> of the interior of the dwelling. <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, "They did not invite us in. " <br /> "The V.N.A. went there to do an infant child survey and the <br /> nurse saw the infant and agreed she looked well taken care <br /> of. " "They did not push to do a full housing inspection. " <br /> Mr. Greelish questioned whether the V.N.A. entered the <br /> dwelling. <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, "No. " "The V.N.A. did file a re- <br /> port with D.S.S. . " "They were unsure as to whether D.S.S. <br /> would pursue the matter. " <br />
