MINUTES December 16 , 1993 6 BOARD OF HEALTH
2 . ) Mr. Ball motioned to accept the minutes of December 9,
1993 , Mr. Doherty seconded.
3 . ) Letter from D.E.P. re: Joint Facility' Plan - Acknowl-
edged.
4. ) Letter from D.E.P. re: Landfill Classification - Mr.
McQuaid relayed, "Barnstable County and Weston & Sampson have
begun to prepare for the meeting. "
5. ) Variance request - 71 Bluff Avenue - Mr. McQuaid re-
layed, "The engineer was unable to submit revised plans in
time for this meeting and has requested a continuance. "
Board members agreed to hear the variance request at the
next regularly scheduled meeting.
*****NEW BUSINESS*****
Title V Meeting
Mr. Ball relayed, "The new Title V regulations have been
postponed due to the public outcry. "
70 Beechwood Road
Mr. Evans relayed, "A septic system is being installed
now in which the excavator ran into the leaching pit from the
abutting lot. " "The abutters septic system was a repair
which was put back in the same spot that it was originally
in. "
Mr. McQuaid commented, "We are almost sure the pit be-
longs to the house at 71 Forest Drive. " "When the installer
pulled the repair permit for this it states on the Title V
application - remove existing pit, clean out all con-
taminants, lower pit 5' deeper and add 3' of stone. " "It ap-
pears it originally was not on the correct property. " "We
intend to uncover the man hole to this pit to learn whether
it is indeed the active pit to the dwelling at 71 Forest
Drive. "
Mr. ❑oherty relayed, "If the pit was originally in-
stalled on the wrong lot and all the installer was doing was
a repair and under failed emergency conditions we don't re-
quire engineered plans, in my opinion, it is reasonable and
safe to assume that the pit Wpuld have been reinstalled in
the exact location. "
