MINUTES January 20 , 1994 8 BOARD OF HEALTH
Mr. Greelish commented, "A fence might help our liabil-
ity but it would probably not prevent somebody from taking a
fall over the cliff. "
Mr. McQuaid stated, "The Planning Board has yet to re-
lease 24 lots from their covenant agreement including those
lots Mr. DiMaggio has expressed his concern about. " "We
could request the Planning Board require a fence prior to re-
lease of those lots or amend the special permit. " "In speak-
ing with Tom Fudala he stated the Planning Board can't with-
hold a release of the covenant for such an issue we would
have to go to the Board of Appeals to amend the special per-
mit. " "Mr. DiMaggio did recommend we request the D.P.W. re-
move the fence around the lagoons and have them install the
fence directly behind the pit. "
Mr. Greelish commented, "There is not much room around
the pit. " "I would like to see a plan to backfill and grade
the whole thing. " "Maybe in the landfill capping we can
bring enough material in to develop a slope for the whole
thing and eliminate that hazard and in the meantime we try to
find ways to get more fill in there. "
Human Service Strategy Meeting
Mr. Greelish stated, "I would like to designate an agent
of this Board to attend the meeting with specific instruc-
tions that no current human service contracts that the Board
of Health oversees are to be released to anything lees than a
dedicated human services department.
Board members agreed.
Being no further business Mr. Ball motioned to adjourn this
meeting at 9: 20 p.m. , Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed.
Respectfully submitted,
Veronica Warden, Adm. Sec.
