MINUTES July 7 , 1994 6 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Doherty relayed he would like to research State laws <br /> and continue this matter until next week's meeting. <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> 7. ) Memo from Executive Secretary re; Payment of taxes - <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 8. ) Letter- from P, Fitzgerald re 15 Dean's Hollow Road - <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The abutter is concerned the owner of <br /> this property will increase his habitable space without up- <br /> grading his system to a Title V system. " "I have prepared a <br /> response to Mr. Fitzgerald. " <br /> Board members reviewed the letter and agreed to direct <br /> the agent to forward his response to Mr. Fitzgerald. <br /> 9. ) S. Sandwich Road water tests - Mr. McQuaid relayed, <br /> "Test results from those homes in the S. Sandwich Road area <br /> were analyzed by the County for sodium. " "All homes were <br /> found to have low sodium content. " "I have prepared a letter <br /> to those homeowners that were tested. " <br /> Board members agreed to forward the letter. <br /> 10. ) Emergency- failure certification: 16 Spoondrift Way and <br /> 28 Lakeside Traile Park <br /> 16 SPOONDRIFT WAY - Board members forwarded their signatures <br /> to the "Emergency Repair Certification" form. <br /> 28 LAKESIDE TRAILER PARK - Board members forwarded their <br /> signatures to the "Emergency Repair Certification" form. <br /> 11. ) ProposedRio--Clere system, 9 Compass Circle - Mr. <br /> McQuaid relayed, "An addition was originally approved in 1987 <br /> and the septic system was upgraded to a Title V system with a <br /> bull-run valve and the primary and reserve were installed at <br /> the same time. " "What the owners are proposing now is to in- <br /> crease the living space not the number of bedrooms which is <br /> now five. " "The engineers were of the opinion they would be <br /> required to install a whole new system. " "I informed them <br /> they only needed to turn the bull-run valve into a distribu- <br /> tion box and activate the two pits and show a reserve area. " <br /> "The engineers are now proposing to install a Bio-clere sys- <br /> tem where the bull-run valve is to satisfy the Conservation <br /> Commission's nitrogen loading reduction regulation. " "I <br /> would recommend the Board approve plans however D.E.P. ap- <br /> proval will also be required. " <br />
