MINUTES October 13, 1995 21 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> *****OLD BUSINESS***** <br /> Response from Water District on request for Contract <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Today, I received a memo from the Executive Secretary in <br /> response to my request for a copy of the contractual agreement between the excavator and <br /> the Water District." "I received a copy of the intermunicipal agreement which was not <br /> what I requested." "I was told the contracts may be reviewed at the Water District office <br /> as they are quite lengthy." <br /> Mr. Doherty volunteered to research the matter further. <br /> Five Star Recycling <br /> Mr. Doherty relayed, "Mr. Friel informed me Five Star Recycling is proposing <br /> their facility on the lot formerly known as the Eastern Lumber Co. which fronts Route <br /> 130." "This is contrary to what we were led to believe by Mr. Harold Wiggins." "This <br /> Board did not support that front building as we thought it would be more appropriate <br /> behind that lot." "Mr. Friel also informed me the industrial zone takes effect 400' back <br /> which is the current location of the redemption center." "Even that second lot is C-2 <br /> zoning. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "Then his letter of approval from D.E.P. is inaccurate too." <br /> "Mr. Wiggins mislead them." <br /> Mr. Ball recommended forwarding a letter to the Z.B.A.. <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "I would recommend we forward a letter to the Z.B.A. stating <br /> the Board supports the recycling concept in an industrially zoned area but feel it is mostly <br /> likely inappropriate in a commercially zoned area." <br /> Board members agreed with Mr. Doherty's recommendation. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Tobacco Control Pro ram <br /> Mr. Evans relayed, "Tanya Miller would like to schedule a meeting with local <br /> Boards of Health at the Mashpee Town Hall to discuss a regional smoking regulation." <br />
