MINUTES May 18, 1995 7 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Duffy stated, "So the Board of Health doesn't need anything, as far as giving <br /> variances, where the Building Department does." <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "We wouldn't sign off on a building permit." <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "The Board of Health is required to notify under a very <br /> specific set of circumstances none of which is present here." "If a variance to the State <br /> regulations is required then a Title V hearing is required with notification to all abutters." <br /> "The applicant must also provide certified mail receipts." <br /> 3.) D.P.W. invoice explanation - Mr. Cram relayed, "Over by Scituate Road a private <br /> contractor was there performing work." "I am unsure whether he was working on the <br /> catch basins or not." "Lynch came in a repaved the work." <br /> Mr. Doherty commented, "If there is a private contractor, it is his responsibility to <br /> get rid of the debris." <br /> Mr. Evans commented, "On Cape Drive the original catch basins were full of clay <br /> so they pulled them out and I assume broke them up." "They put new catch basins in." <br /> Mr. Doherty commented, "We could bury the concrete." <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Mr. DiMaggio is hesitant to do that because we don't <br /> accept concrete as part of demolition from contractors without charging them for it, as he <br /> normally would haul that off." <br /> I _ <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "Concrete is an inert material it can be landfilled." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "Since this issue came up I received another call from the <br /> D.P.W. requesting permission to bring in concrete." "I informed them they could not <br /> because we had to haul it off however, they could pay the charge." "They agreed to take <br /> care of it another way." <br /> Mr. Doherty commented, "I think this load should be buried however, in the future <br /> the D.P.W. should coordinate these efforts." "If they have an alternative method of <br /> disposal they should use it." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "The two invoices total 28 cubic yards. <br />
