MINUTES October 26, 1995 6 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Baker stated, "We would have to tap a main and put in a curb stop which is <br /> normally compensated by the systems connection fee so the district recovers it's money." <br /> "I am willing to commit to talk to the other commissioner's into getting the curb stops put <br /> in place with the money to come some time in the future from some source." "In order to <br /> get the ball rolling you probably need something out of the Board declaring a public health <br /> emergency." <br /> Mr. Doherty recommended to Board members, "If we feel this threat is imminent <br /> and we can't really wait for Washington to decide what their going to do and we feel we <br /> have to take some action we can always petition the Finance Committee for emergency <br /> funds to transfer." <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "I would like to declare it right now." <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to declare the Tritown Circle/Horseshoe Bend Way area of <br /> Mashpee a potentially significant threat of groundwater pollution based on the information <br /> provided by the Installation Restoration Program office at the Massachusetts Military <br /> Reservation and having declared this area an emergency to go forth with immediate plans <br /> to connect the nine identified homes in the area to town water. This Board shall approach <br /> the Finance Committee for an emergency transfer of funds and draw up the necessary <br /> documents to receive bids to connect all nine homes as a single project, Mr. Bah <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br /> 7.) 1996 Fee Schedule - Mr. Cram motioned no increase in the fee schedule for <br /> calendar year 1996, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> 8.) Barnstable County Department of Human Services meeting 11/14/95 - Mr. <br /> McQuaid relayed, "This is going to be a recap of the entire Cape Cod Human Condition." <br /> "What was discussed at our coalition meeting was that we were going to ask these people <br /> to come back and give a presentation to the coalition on specifically, the Mashpee <br /> Condition." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> 9.) D.E.P., Title V Workshop, 11/30/95 - All members will attend the meeting. <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to cancel the Board of Health meeting scheduled for <br /> November 30, 1995 in order for Board members to attend the Title V Workshop, Mr. Ball <br /> seconded, all agreed. <br />
