10-7-87 3. <br /> Item #9 Aerial Spraying will not be permitted in thisarea. <br /> Item 10 This was about the concerns over Santuit Pond and the impact <br /> of its use by the residents. <br /> Project: The piece of land that is being discussed this evening is on <br /> the discharge land of Santuit Pond. Any discharge or affluent from <br /> the Treatment Plant would not enter 3antuit Pond. Louise stated that <br /> swimming should not be recommended in the Pond. <br /> The level of phosphate discharge ij approximately 50%. <br /> The Historical Commission questioned the archeological study. Scott <br /> and Judy stated they would like to see the study before the clearing <br /> of the site begins. <br /> The Board questioned an ancient way that was not delineated on the Plan. <br /> A %, <br /> Kevin Kirrane stated that if they can tell them where the plan is they <br /> 11, ? <br /> w be ou.-d t,O delineate it on the plan., Tom Fudala stated that it <br /> essentially ran all the way around the Pond. <br /> Louise was concerned about the wells in Cotuit being contaminated. They <br /> Stated the wells would not be contaminated. They are ,,neeting with the <br /> Board of Health. <br /> Public Comments <br /> There was concern about whether there are any restrictions on the types <br /> of fertilizer being used. <br /> Brian Dudley questioned the phosphates. He stated that for a small <br /> capital cost phosphates can be taken care of easily. Secondly, he was <br /> rr <br /> wondering if the leaching fields were ?ara"Llel to the !,, oun <br /> d water flow, <br /> or are they perpendicular. They are spread over. <br /> Jackie stated that the Planning Board has the power to make a condition <br /> to be put in the Homeowners ' Association that no fertilizer be used or <br /> restrict fertilizers. Also, the same can be done with the road salt. <br /> Louise asked for figures on the amount of acreage and lawn space. Kevin <br /> Kirrane stated that part of the submission did include detailed land- <br /> scaping plans which demonstrate the location of plantings and lawns. <br /> When they dealt with the design review they did address the concern of <br /> the amount of lawn. Louise asked for the size of the lawn. <br />
