"The applicant is requesting a 5' sideline variance." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to grant a 5' sideline variance, Mr. Doherty seconded, all <br /> agreed. <br /> Pow-Wow Facilities <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Mr. J.B. Richardson, a Native American, came by the <br /> office and expressed his concern regarding food vendors at the "Pow-Wow" bathing <br /> themselves at Attaquin Beach and then shortly thereafter children were swimming in the <br /> same area." "We have never received a complaint of this nature before." "Perhaps we <br /> should send a letter to the Tribal Council informing them bathing and washing in the pond <br /> is not allowed and that they should make access available to their bathroom facilities that <br /> they're building on Great Neck Road." <br /> Mr. Cram stated, 'I'm not saying that it may be a challenge if it's a concentrated <br /> effort, if there are a lot of people doing it in one spot that is entirely possible." 'Tor the <br /> Board of Health to step in at this point isn't realistic." <br /> Mr. Doherty commented, "I don't think it is realistic either." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "There is not regulation on the books which excludes bathing <br /> at beaches." <br /> Mr. Doherty relayed, "Then there is nothing to enforce." <br /> Board members acknowledged receipt of the complaint. <br /> Being no further business Mr. Ball motioned to adjourn this meeting at 8.28 p.m., Mr. <br /> Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Vernica Mayre�r,,Adm_ Asst. <br />
