MINUTES August 13, 1998 4 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr_ Silvia stated, "There is a way to control that in that the home is not livable <br /> year round." "If remodeling happens building permits are required, the Board could place <br /> a condition that if it is ever improved to that point the topic would have to be revisited and <br /> at that time they would be required to improve the system." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "We could require the applicant to sign the affidavit which <br /> stipulates no increase in habitable space and have them file it with the registry of deeds." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to grant the requested variance relief as follows: 4' sideline <br /> variance, a 3' variance from the proposed soil absorption system to the water supply line, <br /> a 2' variance from the proposed soil absorption system to the foundation, a 7' variance <br /> from the foundation crawl space to the proposed septic tank, a 50' variance from the <br /> proposed leaching facility to the edge of the wetlands and a 1' variance from the bottom <br /> of the proposed leaching facility to groundwater, with the stipulation the owner sign an <br /> affidavit stating that any plans to increase the habitable living space of the existing two <br /> bedroom dwelling at any future date will require approval by the Board of Health, the <br /> owner shall file the affidavit with the Registry of Deeds, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed. <br /> 5_) Request for representative to Com rehensive Plan Committee - Mr. Cram <br /> directed the Adm. Asst. to forward a memo to Ms. Mason informing her that all Board <br /> members are currently serving on other Committee's and are unable to commit themselves <br /> to serve on another however, should any issues arise pertaining to Board of Health issues <br /> to please notify our office and we will send a representative to that meeting. <br /> 6.) Minutes of and memo from Human Services Committee - Mr. Evans relayed, <br /> "The Human Services Committee received half of the $26,000.00 from the Assembly of <br /> Delegates for initial startup costs." "The remaining funds went to the Harbor <br /> Management dredging account." <br /> 7.) Emergency Emergengy re air certification, 19 Sand dollar Lane <br /> Mr. Evans relayed, "I inspected the site and found the cesspools filled. <br /> Board members forwarded their signature's to the "Emergency Repair <br /> Certification"form. <br />
