MINUTES August 13, 1998 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Housing inyection- 231 Great Pines Drive <br /> Mr. Evans relayed, "I performed a housing inspection at 231 Great Pines Drive." <br /> "It was on the basis of a complaint." "The only violations I found were the window <br /> casements would not open or close and one window was broken." "Those were the only <br /> things I could find wrong with the house." "I forwarded a letter to the owner indicating <br /> that they were ordered to repair or replace the defective window hardware within 30 <br /> days." "The owner has now requested in writing to appear before the Board." <br /> Mr. Cram directed the agent to schedule an appointment for Mr. Gargiulo on <br /> August 27, 1998 agenda and to notify him of the date. <br /> Landfill capping contract -Weston& SMson/Town of Mashpee <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Weston and Sampson have submitted a contract for <br /> engineering work to be performed in association with the capping at the landfill." "The <br /> contract exceeds $100,000.00 and will require Town Counsel review and the Board of <br /> Selectmen's signature." <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> Variance request - 20 South Sandwich Road <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "The applicant is requesting a 27' variance from the <br /> proposed on-site leaching facility to the proposed on-site well." "As of yet town water is <br /> not available." <br /> Mr. Doherty questioned, "The leaching facility could be moved closed to the front <br /> property line thereby creating an additional 6'." I recommend the agent notify the <br /> engineer to submit revised plans which delineate the leaching facility 6' closer to the front <br /> property line." <br /> i <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented, "The Board could grant a 21' variance conditional <br /> upon revised plans." <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to grant a 21' local variance from the proposed on-site <br /> leaching facility to the proposed on-site well with the stipulation the engineer submit <br />
