i <br /> MINUTES August 20, 1998 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Eynatian stated, "Unless the well driller didn't do his job right the well might <br /> be located somewhere off my lot." <br /> Mr_ Ball stated, "Then you would have a problem." <br /> Mr. Eynatian stated, "You need to make that determination, that's what I am <br /> saying." "There are to many variables here." <br /> Mr. Cram stated, "I refuse to make a decision on this at this point." "I am very <br /> uncomfortable with this situation." <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "I recommend we continue this until next week's meeting at which <br /> time all Board members should be in attendance." <br /> Mr. Cram agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Cape & Islands Eng. - 43 Santuit Lane <br /> Mr. John Slavinsky was in attendance representing the firm of Cape & Islands <br /> Engineering. <br /> Mr. Slavinsky stated, "Two days ago the existing cesspool was pumped." "It is <br /> approximately 11' deep." "The -test hole was approximately 8' from the existing <br /> cesspool." "Water was encountered in that location at 7'." "The proposed leaching <br /> facility will be 75' from the wetlands." "This is the most feasible location." "This is a <br /> seasonal home however, the residents intend to stay another seven to ten weeks." <br /> "Conservation Commission approval will be required." <br /> W. Ball motioned to grant the following variances: 9' variance from the street <br /> property line, a 6' variance from the abutters property lines and a 25' variance from the <br /> proposed leaching facility to the edge of the upland along Santuit Pond with the <br /> stipulation the health agent review and approve plans with subsequent Conservation <br /> Commission approval, Mr. Cram seconded. <br /> 3.) Variance request. 165 Whippoorwill Circle - Mr. Cram stated, "The engineer has <br /> not submitted a cover letter stating the variance relief sought." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to continue this matter pending a cover letter indicating the <br /> variance relief sought, Mr. Cram seconded. <br />
