MINUTES May 19, 1999 13 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 6. Memo from ConCom re: dead birds <br /> Ms. Warden described a situation where a dead bird was found at the cranberry <br /> bogs. Conservation Agent Robert Sherman has asked for the Board's help in <br /> determining the cause of death for this bird. <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to agree to pay up to $1,000 for toxicological analysis of one <br /> bird found dead at the cranberry bogs. Mr. Doherty seconded the motion. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> 7. Recycling center complaint - S. Jones <br /> Board acknowledged. <br /> 8. Willowbend re: number of licensed massage facilities <br /> Ms. Warden explained that during a recent inspection of the massage facility at <br /> Willowbend, it was discovered that Willowbend actually is operating two <br /> separate and distinct massage facilities and also has a spa that is not currently <br /> licensed. Board members directed Ms. Warden to send a letter to Willowbend <br /> j instructing them that they must have both facilities inspected and licensed. <br /> i <br /> i <br /> 9. Complaint- Merrymeeting Farm <br /> Ms. Debbie Murphy of Merrymeeting Farm was in attendance for this agenda <br /> item. <br /> Ms. Warden stated that she has received numerous complaints from neighbors <br /> of the farm regarding the smell from the stable and the fact that the building is <br /> unsightly due to the horses eating the shingles off the side of the barn. Animal <br /> Control Officer June Daley and Ms. Warden have inspected the barn on several <br /> occasions and found no violations. <br /> Ms. Murphy stated that she is doing the best she can and that she is working <br /> towards having the shingles replaced on the building. <br /> Ms. Warden will respond to the complaint letters. <br /> 10. Complaint- Stratford Ponds <br /> Board acknowledged. <br /> 11. Prelimin@a Subdivision Plan - Equestrian Avenue <br /> Board members rejected the preliminary plans due to their being incomplete. <br /> 12. Prelimihga Subdivision Plan - Li-pnosky Family Trust <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to continue approval of the subdivision pending review by <br /> the Health Agent. Mr. Doherty seconded the motion. Motion to continue <br /> passed. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> a. Residential fees for CRT's <br /> Ms. Warden explained the state ban on cathode ray tubes effective April 1, 2000 <br /> and the grant received by the Board of Health in response to the ban.
