MINUTES July 15, 1999 5 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> this and we've been in favor of this all along. The Life at Mashpee folks understand <br /> that if for some reason the connection to the treatment plant not be made, they will <br /> have to put in their own system on their own property which will include a <br /> denitrification unit." <br /> Mr. Ball asked, "What is the timeframe with which they will have to get this done?" <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "I think we should put a 1-year timeframe on this. Then if <br /> everything is going well and the expiration date is getting close, but the anfridome <br /> facility is being constructed, then we can grant an extension. This at least gives us <br /> a timeframe in which they will have to act. We don't want to have a problem <br /> enforcing this down the road." <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to grant Life at Mashpee's request to install a 13,000-gallon <br /> septic tank to be used for 1-year until the Talanian anfridome system is <br /> operational. Mr. Crain seconded the motion. <br /> 11.Memo to Accounting re: S. Joseph DiMaggio final payment <br /> Board acknowledged. <br /> 12.Letter to Town Administrator re: disclosure <br /> Board acknowledged. <br /> 13.July 4th Holiday Invoice <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to pay the invoice for $990.00 to Coastal Waste Management <br /> for the July 4{h.holiday work. Mr. Doherty seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> FOR DISCUSSION <br /> Anointment of Recycling Committee Members <br /> Ms. Mayer recommended the appointment of the following individuals to the new <br /> Recycling Committee, which will meet monthly- <br /> L. Glenn Santos <br /> Stephanie Jones <br /> James Chisholm <br /> Selectman David Leveille <br /> Assistant Health Agent Veronica Mayer <br /> Alternate members: Pamela Wills and Gregory Wills <br /> Transfer Station 0 ne-Day Passes <br /> Board members discussed the handling of one-day passes to the transfer station and <br /> decided that the Board of Health will be the only office issuing these passes from this <br /> point on. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Variance Request— 70 Birch Way <br /> Mr. Cram motioned to grant a variance of 20'from the soil absorption system to the <br /> well at lot 46 Birch Way; a 15'variance from the soil absorption system to the well at <br /> lot 34 Birch Way; a 12'variance from the soil absorption system to the well at lot 47; a <br /> 5'variance from the soil absorption system to the well at lot 48 Birch Way; and a 39' <br />
