Motion seconded by Mr. Doherty. Motion
passed.
Human Services Coordinator
Ms. Mayer informed the Board of Health members that the Human Services
Committee has met and they were informed that Falmouth is no longer going to
extend the inter-municipal agreement between the Town of Mashpee and the
Town of Falmouth to provide a coordinator for the Mashpee Human Services.
Ms. Mayer commented that the Human Services Committee is really very
pleased with Louise Patrick's performance and they would like to create a
Human Service Coordinator position.
Ms. Mayer stated that the Human Service Committee is recommending that the
Board of Health and the Human Services Committee submit an Article for the
May Town Meeting creating a Coordinator's position. This position
would be under the Board of Health. Ms. Mayer noted that the salary already
exists -- it was the Coordinator's position that Mashpee paid to the Town of
Falmouth. She added that the position would be effective July 1.
Mr. Ball made a motion to submit an Article for the May Town Meeting to see if
the Town will vote to create the position of the Human Services Coordinator,
which would be 32 hours, Grade 14, Step 1 of the P.A.P.; and to raise and
appropriate $6,247 in the medical insurance account and $35 in the group
insurance account to be submitted by the Board of Health and the Human
Services Committee.
