Page 6. <br /> Article 20. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the.zoning map by redesignating a <br /> portion of the R-4 district to a C-1 district as is more particularly <br /> described on a map dated March 16, 1984 entitled "proposed change to C-1: , <br /> a copy of which is on file in the office of the Town Clerk. <br /> UNANIMOUS VOTE. . . . . . . . . . .10:14 P.M. <br /> Mr Marsters: The Planning Board held a public hearing,*no opposition.. <br /> The Planning Boar is in favor. ..no discussion. . .unanimous vote. .. . . <br /> Article 21. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to secure necessary <br /> engineering and legal work to prepare a taking plan for the Popponesset Island <br /> Bridge and any necessary access roads thereto and to raise and appropriate <br /> $7,500 to carry out the same. - - - - <br /> Raise and Appropriate $7500.00 <br /> Article 22. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize and direct the Board of Selectmen <br /> in the name of and on behalf of the Town to file a Home Rule Petition with the <br /> General Court in substantially the following form: <br /> Section 1 - Any holder of an elective office in the Town of Mashpee <br /> with more than six (6) months remaining in the term of the office, <br /> may be recalled and removed therefrom by the qualified voters of the <br /> Town in the manner provided for herein. <br /> Viz,,,. <br /> Section 2 - One Hundred" (100) or more qualified voters may make and <br /> tile wit�i the Town Clerk an affidavit containing the name of the office <br /> holder sought to be recalled and removed and a statement of the grounds <br /> for recall. The Town Clerk shall thereupon deliver to the ten (10) <br /> persons first named on such affidavit a sufficient number of blank <br /> -forms demanding said recall and removal. These forms, available from <br /> the Town Clerk, may be ccmpleted by printing or typewriter and they shall <br /> contain the names of the ten (10) persons to whom they are issued, the <br /> name of the person sought to be removed, the office from which removal <br /> is sought, and the grounds for recall and removal as stated in the <br /> affidavit. They shall demand the election of a successor to the office <br /> and they shall be dated, signed and sealed by the Town Clerk. These <br /> recall petition forms shall be returned to the office of the Town <br /> Clerk not later than 3:00 p.m. on or before the first work d-y following <br /> twenty (20) days after the date they are issued, signed by at least <br /> twenty percent (20%) of the total number of qualified persons registered <br /> to vote in the Town as of the date of the most recent Town election <br /> and to every such signature shall be added the place of.,residence of <br /> the signer, giving the street and number, if any. Such signatures need <br /> not all be on one paper." One of the ten (10) persons to whom the recall <br /> petition forms is issued shall make an affidavit on each page that the <br /> statements therein contained are true, and that each signature appended <br /> to the petition is the genuine signature of the person whose name it <br /> purports to be. <br />
