The Selectmen shall appoint a Director of Public Works for <br /> a term not to exceed three years. <br /> Section 2.11. 2 <br /> Powers and duties. The Director of Public Works shall under the direction <br /> of the Board of Selectmen, have full charge of all public ways, sidewalks, storm <br /> drains and maintenance of all town buildings and grounds, except those lands under <br /> control of the Conservation Commission. <br /> Section 2.11.3 <br /> Authority. The Director of Public Works is authorized to issue permits for <br /> work to be performed .upon town highways, or sections thereof <br /> So voted _. <br /> Article 18. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to substitute the wards "director of public <br /> works" for the words "superiiir,-ndent of streets' or the word "director" for <br /> the word "superintendent" in the following sections of the town by-laws; <br /> Article 4.10; Section 4.10.1; 4.10.2; 4.10.4 <br /> so voted <br /> Article 19. <br /> To see if the Town will vote to authorize and empower the Board of <br /> Selectmen to discontinue that part of Job's Fishing Road from the Southerly <br /> side of the Nathan S. Ellis highway (Route 151) to the Westerly side of <br /> Falmouth Road -(Route 28) as it presently exists and to authorize and empower <br /> the Board of Selectmen to accept a gift of land from Fields Point Corporation <br /> for the purpose of the layout and creation of a new public way over land of <br /> the said Fields Point Corporation from the Southerly side of Nathan S. Ellis <br /> Highway (Route 151) to the Westerly side of Falmouth Road (Route 28), said <br /> land to be defined and described on a plan suitable for recording at the <br /> Barnstable County Registry of Deeds as approved by the Planning Board and the <br /> Board of Selectmen, <br /> So voted. . .
