u k <br /> Page 23. <br /> 10.6.11 Contractors and Developers: For each construction or development <br /> project, there may be issued a temporary permit for one standing sign <br /> not to exceed sixteen (16) square feet in signboard area, setting <br /> forth facts and names pertinent to the subject. Such signs shall be <br /> removed forthwith when the project is completed. <br /> 10.7 Violations and Penalties <br /> 10.7.1 Anyone who shalt violate a provision of Section 10 of the by-law shalt <br /> be ountshable by a fine of not more than $200 for each violation. <br /> P,ach day during which any portion of a violation continues shall <br /> constitute a separate offense. Violations shall be considered to <br /> begin on the first day after the time, allowed. for correction of' the <br /> violation has elapsed. Official notice of vtolations .and time . <br /> allowed for correction shall be given in writing by the Town of <br /> Mashpee. <br /> 10.7.2 All signs legally erected before the adoption of the 1984 amended <br /> zoning by-law must comply with the provisions of Section 10, as <br /> amended, no later than September 1, 1986. Alternatively, a variance <br /> may be applied for, for each non-conforming sign, from the Board of <br /> Appeals, and if granted by September 1, 1986, such signs shall have <br /> until September 1, 1991 to comply with the provisions of Section 10, <br /> as amended. <br /> 10.8 Bonds and Liability Insurance <br /> 10.8.1 Filing: A person shall not erect, install, remove, rehang or maintain <br /> over public property any sign for which a permit is required under <br /> the provisions of this by-law until approved bond or liability insurance <br /> shall have been. filed in accordance with the requirements of the Board <br /> of Selectmen. <br /> 10.8.2 Conditions: Such bond or insurance policy may provide that the Town <br /> shall be protected and held harmless from any and all claims or demands <br /> for damages by reason of any negligence of the sign hanger, contractor <br /> or his agents, or by any reason of defects in the construction or <br /> damages- resulting from the collapse, failure or combustion of the <br /> sign or parts thereof. <br /> 10.8.3 Notice of cancellation: Any such obligation shall remain in force <br /> and effect during the lifetime of every such sign and shall not be <br /> cancelled by the principal or surety until after thirty (30) days <br /> notice to the building inspector, or take any action relating thereto. <br /> UNANIMOUS VOTE <br /> Article 69. <br />
