456 TOWN OF MASHPEE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT May 7, 1979 THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS Barnstable, ss: To the Constable of the Town' of Mashpee Greetings: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in the elections, to meet at the Mashpee Middle School on Monday, the seventh day of May, 1979, at seven o'clock, p.m. , for the following purposes: To act on the articles contained in the following warrant. To meet at the Town Hall the following Saturday, May 12, 1979, to bring in their votes for the election of the following officers a One SELECTMAN for three years; One ASSESSOR member for three years; One BOARD OF HEALTH member for three years; One PLANNING BOARD member for five years; One PLANNING BOARD member for one year unexpired term; Two LIBRARY TRUSTEE members for three years; Two, FINANCE COMMITTEE members for three years; One FINANCE COMMITTEE member for one year unexpired term. The polls will be open at 10:00 o'clock, a.m. and will be closed at S:OO o'clock, p.m. Moderator Frank Leonardi reopened the Annual Meeting which was preceded by a Special Town Meeting. A motion had been made and seconded to adjourn the Annual Town Meeting until after the Special Town Meeting., The motion carried. 'A quorum was present. ARTICLE 1. To choose all necessary Town Officials who are not elected under the Australian Ballot Systems BURIAL AGENT HERRING WARDEN ACTION: A motion was made and seconded that the Burial Agent be Oliver Pocknett and the Herring garden be Robert Courte-- manche. Motion carried. ARTICLE 2. - To see if the Town will vote to accept the Town Officers' Reports. ACTION:. Motion made and seconded that the Town vote to accept the Town Officers' Reports. Lotion carried. ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will hear and act upon the reports of any committee for any purpose the Town may deem advisable. ACTION: motion made and seconded to accept Article 3 as read. Lotion carried. ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money_ from time to time beginning July 1 , 1979, in accordance with the provisions of General Laws. Chapter 44, Section 4, and to issue a note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with General Laws, Chapter 44, Section 17. ACTION: Moved and seconded to accept Article 4 as read. Motion carried.
