457 Annual Town Meeting �2 - May 7, 1979 A.RTIQLB . To see if the Town will vote to assume liability in the manner provided by Seaon 29 of Chapter 91 of the General Laws as recently amended by Chapter 5, Acts of 1955t for all damages that may be incurred by work to be performed by the Department of Public Works of Massachusetts for the improvement, development, maintenance and protection of tidal and non-tidal rivers and streams and harbors, tidewaters, foreshores and shores along a public beach in accordance with Section xI of Chapter 91' of the General Laws, and authorize the Selectmen' to execute' and deliver a bond af' indemnity' ' therefor to the Commonwealth, i ACTIONS Moved and seconded to accept Article 5 as read. V - . 1 ARTICLE 69 To see if the Town will' vote to accept the pro- visions of Chapter 48, Section 42, of the Massachusetts ' General Laws,' as amended from time to time, or take any other action thereon. ARTICLE To see if the Town will vote to. -raise, .and a ro- riate or transfer from available funds the sum of 20 48.00 or any other sum, to hire two full-time firefighters, or take any other action thereon. ACTION: Motion made and seconded that .the {Town vote to transfer from Revenue Sharing the sum of $20,448.oo to ,hire two full-time firefighters. Motion carried. • . + ARTICLE 8. To see if the Town will approve additional com- pensation of 7 perocent of each employee's salary, applying to all non-elected full-time and part-time employees covered by the Salary Administration Plan and excluding those .employ- ees subject to collective bargaining agreements and those official salaries set by the Board of Selectmen. This seven per cent shall be in addition to the salary received by each employee as presently provided for'in 'the 'Salary Administra- tion Plan, and to raise and appropriate the -sure of $ , to meet this 'obligation 'or take any other 'action thereon: . 11 ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 8 to read:.
