4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 14, 2008 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request to Expend Funds—Waterways„Assistant Wages: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Harbormaster and Shellfish <br /> Constable dated April 4, 2008 requesting the Selectmen authorize the <br /> expenditure of$3,000 from the Waterways Improvement and Maintenance <br /> Account to the Waterways Assistant Wages Account to fund Waterways <br /> Assistant wages through June 30,2008. <br /> Mr. Ellis and Mr. York were in attendance and noted there are ample <br /> funds in the improvement and maintenance account for the transfer. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalan to authorize the transfer of <br /> $3,000 from the Waterways Improvement and Maintenance Account <br /> to the Waterways Assistant Wages Account as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Recommendation for Bid Acce tance—TeqiWLar <br /> y LibrM Space: <br /> Two proposals were received in response to the Invitation for Bids for the <br /> rental of space for the relocation of the library during the construction of a <br /> new library building. <br /> Mashpee Investors LLC was the recommended bidder for a fixed lease of <br /> $65,000 plus utilities. The rental space is located at 5-7 Joy Street in <br /> South Cape Village. The term of the lease would commence on <br /> approximately May 19,2008 and will remain in effect for a maximum of <br /> 22 months. <br /> The Planning&Construction Committee,the Town Manager and Director <br /> of Public Works are in support of the relocation of the library to the rental <br /> space in May to preclude any disruption to the library's operation. <br /> Funding for the lease is within budgetary assumptions. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to accept the bid proposal from <br /> Mashpee Investors LLC in the amount of$65,000 for the lease of <br /> space for the Mashpee Library as described. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
