9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 21, 2008 j <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Request to Access Town Land—Sewer Commission: <br /> Stearns & Wheler, the consultant for the Sewer Commissions <br /> wastewater/nitrogen management plan is requesting access to an area of <br /> undeveloped Town land adjacent to the Transfer Station for subsurface <br /> investigations regarding its potential use for treated wastewater discharge. <br /> Correspondence received from Tom Fudala Sewer Commission member <br /> dated July 14, 2008 detailed the access request. The site is approximately <br /> 10 acres reflected as Recharge Site 4 on attached mapping is prioritized in <br /> any plan for future wastewater facilities. <br /> Permission was also requested for additional subsurface locations on the <br /> Keeter property off Red Brook Road shown as Site 6 and on Ashumet <br /> Road opposite the Heritage Memorial Park which is shown as Site 2 on <br /> the detailed mapping. <br /> With respect to Site 4, it was suggested Stearns& Wheler track and <br /> consider the groundwater plume in their subsurface investigation. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Myers to grant the Sewer Commission's <br /> request and allow access to Sites 2, 4 & 6 as outlined in the <br /> memorandum of July 14, 2008 from Tom Fudala. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
