I <br /> 9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 10, 2007 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Request for Approval and Signature—Land Purchase: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Town Planner dated September 6, <br /> 2007 relative to the Lopez Land Purchase Agreement.. Two land purchase <br /> articles were submitted by the Conservation Commission for approval at <br /> the October 2007 Town Meeting. The articles were withdrawn since Self- <br /> Help funds were not applicable for the intended purchase. <br /> The Conservation Commission unanimously voted to pursue the purchase <br /> of 4+acres on the Mashpee River from the Lopez family which involves a <br /> trade of land between Lopez and Meetinghouse Trust(Shields), owners of <br /> a one acre parcel. <br /> Town Counsel has prepared a Memorandum of Agreement between the <br /> parties to complete the purchase. It is the intent of the Conservation <br /> Commission to acquire the land using its own funds. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to support the Conservation <br /> Commission land purchase and related Memorandum of Agreement <br /> between the Town of Mashpee Conservation Commission,Mark V. <br /> Lopez and Donna Jean Lopez,and Meetinghouse Realty Trust, Scott <br /> S. Shields,Trustee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Review and Execution of Order of Taking—Regatta Drive/Crestview <br /> Circle: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Myers to approve and execute the Order <br /> of Taking for Regatta Drive and Crestview Circle as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Review and Execution of Order of Taking—Ca a Avenue: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Myers to approve and execute the Order <br /> of Taking for Cayuga Avenue as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
