8 <br /> I <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 15, 2004 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Rabies Task Force—Board of Health: <br /> Glen Harrington, Board of Health Agent discussed the rabies control <br /> program within the Town of Mashpee to provide rabies vaccine-laden <br /> baits to mitigate the spread of rabies on Cape Cod now that two positive <br /> animals have been confirmed. <br /> The Board of Health and Animal Control fully support the efforts of the <br /> Rabies Task Force of Cape Cod, and request the Selectmen's support for <br /> the baiting program, at no cost to the Town. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to send a letter of support to <br /> grant permission to disperse the vaccine within the Town of Mashpee <br /> and notify applicable Town departments of the bait distribution <br /> program. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Request for Pay Differential Assessing_Department: <br /> The Selectmen were requested to approve a pay differential for David <br /> Tately and Ardelle Kelley who are taking on additional responsibilities <br /> due to the recent department of the Director of Assessing. The differential <br /> is $4.50 per hour for each employee. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the pay differential <br /> for David Tately and Ardelle Kelley as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />
