6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 14, 2004 <br /> Meeting re-convened: 7.11 p.m. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Union Contracts: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Myers to ratify the votes taken in <br /> Executive Session relative to contract negotiations. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday, August 30, 2004 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Regular Session <br /> minutes of Monday,August 30,2004 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Discussion of Warrant Articles: <br /> The Board of Selectmen discussed Article 412 of the October 18, 2004 <br /> Town Meeting warrant relative to an additional police officer position to <br /> accomplish School Resource Officer duties. <br /> The Police and School Departments anticipated receiving a reimbursement <br /> of approximately$125,000 during a three-year award period to help <br /> defray the outlay to the town. Grant funding was not attained. <br /> Deputy Police Chief Al Todino was present to discuss this matter with the <br /> Board of Selectmen. It was stated that the Police Department and School <br /> Department would contribute to fund the position that would commence <br /> on January 1, 2005. <br />
