7 <br /> • Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 22, 2002 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Planning Department—Hazard MitigationGrant Request: (continued) <br /> The proposed area of dune restoration was outlined in Mr. Smith's <br /> memorandum to the Selectmen dated July 18, 2002. Upon approval, Mr. <br /> Smith indicated that he would seek additional approval from <br /> Conservation,the DPW, and the Leisure Services Department prior to <br /> going forward with the grant application. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Hazard <br /> Mitigation Grant application as described. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Planning De a8ment— Self Help Grant A lication for Approval: <br /> The Planning Department was directed by the Open Space Committee to <br /> prepare an application to the state's Self Help Land Acquisition Program <br /> for 52% reimbursement of the cost of acquiring a 7.59 acre parcel owned <br /> by Bufflehead Bay Nominee Trust. The purchase is subject to an article <br /> submitted by the Open Space Committee for the October Town Meeting <br /> warrant. <br /> It was noted that presently, two articles relative to the acquisition of said <br /> parcel appear on the Town Meeting warrant in the event the Self Help <br /> grant is not obtained. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Self Help Grant <br /> application as outlined to assist in the acquisition of a 7,59 acre parcel. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> • <br />
