2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 5, 2002 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Correspondence from Assistant DPW Director re:. Illegal Dumping: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The Board of Selectmen was in receipt of correspondence from Catherine <br /> Laurent, Assistant DPW Director dated August 1,2002 addressed to the <br /> Board of Health relative to illegal dumping on Town owned property and <br /> the $300 fine imposed to penalize offenders and discourage illegal <br /> dumping activities. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to support the Assistant DPW's <br /> memorandum to the Board of Health dated August 1,2002,and <br /> continue to adhere to the fine as stipulated to penalize offenders and <br /> discourage illegal dumping in the Town ofMashpee. <br /> Motions seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Town of Eastham—Local.Emgrgency Planning Committee: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Town of Eastham dated July 18, <br /> 2002 requesting the Selectmen endorse the concept of creating a regional <br /> Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPQ as required under the <br /> Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to send a letter-of support to the <br /> County Health Department to endorse the concept of the regional <br /> Local Emergency Planning Committee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
