Minutes <br /> September 23, 2002 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Police Chief: <br /> Request for Leave of Absence: <br /> Deputy Chief of Police, Al Todino was present to recommend the Board <br /> approve a four-month Leave of Absence for Patrol.Officer Paul Coronella <br /> effective October 26, 2002. The leave of absence is unpaid, and supported <br /> i <br /> by the Chief of Police. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to approve the Leave of Absence of <br /> Paul Coronella effective October 26, 2002 to March 1, 2002. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Mutual Aid Agreement: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Chief of Police dated September 9, <br /> 2002 requesting authorization for the MPD to enter into a Mutual Aid <br /> Agreement with the Police Departments of Barnstable, Bourne, Brewster, <br /> Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, Harwich, Nantucket, Orleans, <br /> Provincetown, Sandwich Truro and Wellfleet. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to allow the Mashpee Police <br /> Department,as a member of the Cape Cod Regional Law <br /> Enforcement Council, to enter into a Mutual Aid Agreement with the <br /> specified Cape towns. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> i <br /> Constable Appointment: <br /> For the Selectmen's approval was a recommendation for the appointment <br /> of Constable. The memorandum from the Chief of Police dated <br /> September 9, 2002 reflects a successful background investigation on the <br /> applicant, Richard I Williams. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalan to appoint Richard J. Williams <br /> as Constable for the Town of Mashpee as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br />
