` „ r <br /> 13 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September 23, 2002 <br /> MMR Update: (continued) <br /> The Board of Selectmen was requested to remit a letter of support for the <br /> extension of the MMR lease for an additional twenty-five years. The <br /> matter is anticipated to be brought before Governor Swift. <br /> The matter was taken under advisement at this time. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Mashpee High School Boosters Club: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Mashpee High School Boosters <br /> Club dated September 12, 2002 in appreciation for the Town's <br /> contribution in making the Press Box project a success. <br /> Appointment to Conservation Commission: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> As a result of quorum concerns with the Conservation Commission, the <br /> Board discussed the interest of an associate member to be upgraded to <br /> regular member status. It was noted that there was no response to the <br /> recent advertisement process for membership. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to appoint Stephanie Jones to the <br /> Conservation Commission as a regular member. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to re-open the advertisement <br /> seeldng Conservation Commission members. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> A brief discussion followed with respect to the interest of regular member <br /> Carol Moore to become an associate member of the Conservation <br /> Commission. <br />
