A total of 27,080 gross square feet is proposed for an
estimated construction cost of$206.74 per square foot.
Potential funding sources include the MA Public Library Construction
Program Grant $2,511,560, Gifts and Fundraising Pledges $1,000,000 and
the Town's share of$3,768,739.
Mrs. DeFoe discussed the impact on the tax rate. The impact on a median
residence/$64.95 would be $16.24 per quarter for year 91. By year 420,
the impact would be $8.16 per quarterly tax bill.
