FINANCE- COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS¢O.N. T-HE-14A'SHP-E-ESPECIAL TOWN MEETING 0 JULY 27_,,1-9.8.7_:� -�-- ARTICLE 1 The Finance Committee recommends this Article up to a maximum of $ 100 ,000 . This expenditure was recognized to this level when this fiscal year ' s Stabilization Fund was reviewed . ARTICLE 2 The Finance Committee recommends this Article up to a maximum of $75 , 000 which was budgeted in this fiscal year ' s Stabilization Fund . ARTICLE 3 The Finance Committee recommends $21 , 500 be appropriated from the Stabilization Fund for this Article . This represents 10% of the total cost , and the balance will be funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts . ARTICLE 4 Finance Committee recommendations will be made at the Town Meeting when costs (bids ) are in . ARTICLE 5 The Finance Committee approves this Article because there is no cost to the Town to reconstruct this road . The cost will be borne by betterment to those lot owners with frontage on Deerfield Road . It should be recognized that the existing road was accepted by the Town of Mashpee ' s Planning Board as being satisfactory and meeting Code specifications which , in fact , was not true . It is the feeling of the Finance Committee that when the road was built , it was substandard and should not have been approved . ARTICLE 6 The Finance Committee recommends this Art-icle . ARTICLE 7 The Finance Committee recommends this Artiltle providing the specifications call for a minimum of Code 90 requirements to handle the heavy commercial usage this road receives . ARTICLE 8 The Finance Committee recommends this Article with the stipulation that no funds will be expended . ARTICLE 9 The Finance Committee does not recommend this Article because no funds are available and this is a 13 year old debt which is very clouded .
