<br /> Extension of Amtual Bids—DPW(continued)
<br /> Mr.Taylor was present at the meeting and explained the bids,##1-24,for FY02 are
<br /> awarded on a one-year basis.over 3 years,and#10-25 are for extensions on year 2 of a 3-
<br /> year bid. He is putting together a package to go out to bid on items that have lapsed
<br /> Motion made by Selectman Cabalane to approve the bid extension
<br /> recommendations as submitted.
<br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor.
<br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0
<br /> Acceptance of Bid—Landscaping:
<br /> Correspondence received from Greg Taylor,Director DPW,dated March 7,2001
<br /> regarding Landscape Bid for Town Buildings. The qualified low bidder was Dom Crupi,
<br /> the Capescaper, 250 Cotuit Road, Sandwich,MA. His bid came in at$15,000 for FY01.
<br /> Mr.Taylor was present at the meeting and informed the BOS the money is in their
<br /> operating budget. He submitted to the BOS three letters given to Mr.Long from people
<br /> supporting the landscaping done by the DPW. Mr. Taylor informed the Selectman that
<br /> in the fall they want to do plantings across the street at the park adjacent to Dunkin
<br /> Donuts. Selectman Cahalan asked why he did not choose a Mashpee company and Mr.
<br /> Taylor answered the other companies did not meet the minimum requirements.
<br /> The letters received and submitted for the record were from the following:

<br /> Also,the BOS received a letter from Evelyn Buschenfeldt,President,Beautification
<br /> Council of Mashpee,dated March 9,2001.
<br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalan to award the Landscape Bid to Dom Crupi,
<br /> The Capescaper,as submitted.
<br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green.

<br /> A Vacancy Notice for Special Events Committee was advertised by the Board of
<br /> Selectman and 7 letters,plus a letter received after the deadline,were received for
