3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 26, 2001 <br /> Budget Discussions—School Committee/Finance Committee: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to recommend a School Budget <br /> of$15,300,000 for FY02 to include a separate line item in the amount <br /> of$750,615.00 for Special Education Tuition, and to track energy <br /> costs as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Motion made by Finance Committee to support the recommended School <br /> budget of$15,300,000 for FY02 to include a separate line item in the <br /> amount of$750,615 for Special Education Tuition, and to track energy <br /> costs as recommended. Motion seconded. <br /> VOTE: 4-1. Motion carries. <br /> Mr. Arnold in opposition. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cook to support the recommended School budget of <br /> $15,300,000 for FY02 to include a separate line item in the amount of <br /> $750,615.000 for Special Education Tuition, and to track energy costs as <br /> recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Caswell. <br /> VOTE: 4-1. Motion carries. <br /> Mrs. Lynch in opposition. <br /> Capital Improvement Pro am Budget: <br /> The FY02 CIP budget of the School Department in the amount of <br /> $215,000 was considered. Discussion followed with respect to the four- <br /> year replacement plan of computers. It was noted that the CIP has <br /> committed to the first two years of the four-year plan at this time. The <br /> sum of$100,000 is to be allocated for the first two years to serve as seed <br /> money to assist the School Department in the replacement program. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to accept the FY02 CIP School <br /> Budget in the amount of$215,000 as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> The Finance Committee supported the FY02 CIP School Budget as <br /> proposed. <br />
