6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 26, 2001 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Pay Scale Adjustment—Leisure Services: <br /> Gus Frederick, Leisure Services Director presented proposed pay scales <br /> for Lifeguards and Gate Attendants for the upcoming season. It was noted <br /> that there is an alarming decline in the number of available Lifeguards on <br /> the Cape brought about primarily by low pay scales. The proposed rates <br /> would become effective on July 1, 2001. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the pay scales of the <br /> Lifeguards and Gate Attendants to $87,405.25 for IFY02 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Correspondence from School Department: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Superintendent of Schools dated <br /> March 21, 2001 requesting the Selectmen appoint a member to participate <br /> in the interview process with the Mashpee Schools for a new Business <br /> Administrator. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to designate Selectman Marsters, <br /> liaison to the School Department, to serve as a member of the School <br /> Business Administrator interview process. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br />
