7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 23, 2001 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Loan Resolution—Aerial Truck: <br /> Fire Chief George Baker indicated that the loan for the purchase of an <br /> aerial ladder truck has been approved pending approval of the Loan <br /> Resolution, which provides lending assistance from the United States <br /> Department of Agriculture. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve and execute the <br /> Loan Resolution relative to the purchase of an Aerial Ladder Truck <br /> in the principal amount of$646,000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Request for Approval for Grant Application—Fire Department: <br /> Chief Baker requested the Board approve the grant application from the <br /> FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Program to apply for firefighter safety <br /> training and rescue equipment. The grant requires 10%matching funds <br /> from the recipient community. Funds are contained in the Fire <br /> Department budget for said purpose. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the grant application <br /> from the FEMA Assistance to firefighters Program as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
