9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 6, 2001 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Holes Management& Supply Corp.—Request for Zoning Changes: <br /> Stuart Bornstein, Holly Management & Supply was present to request the <br /> Selectmen consider zoning changes at the former Augat Building located <br /> at 106 Falmouth Road, Mashpee. <br /> It was noted that the Town Planner submitted an article last spring relative <br /> to the zoning proposal. The article was indefmitely postponed. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to sponsor and re-submit the <br /> zoning change article relative to the above subject matter on the <br /> October Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Request for Approval for Grant Application(2)—Police Dept: <br /> Maurice Cooper, Chief of Police was present to request the Selectmen <br /> approve two continuation grants associated to the Police Department. <br /> In particular the Executive Office of Public Safety(FOPS) Programs <br /> Division, Local Law Enforcement Systems Improvement grant program <br /> would enable the department to obtain funding for systems improvement <br /> projects. The Town is required to commit $6,654.75 in technology <br /> program improvements. Funds are within the budget. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the EOPS grant <br /> application as defined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> The second continuation grant allows for the contract of a.Domestic <br /> Violence Counselor from Independence House. <br /> Motion made by Selectman reveille to approve the above referenced <br /> grant application as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br />
