9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 15, 2001. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Cemetery Regulations: <br /> Fred Blythe, Cemetery Committee Chairman was present to <br /> discuss the proposed cemetery regulations for the rules and <br /> operation of the Town Cemeteries. <br /> Correspondence was received from George Wezniak, Marcia <br /> King and Nancy Caffyn regarding the issue. In addition, <br /> cemetery rules and regulations from the Towns of Sandwich, Barnstable <br /> i and Falmouth was included in the Selectmen's packet for review. <br /> Patricia Hicks and Hamilton Whiting voiced concern to the regulations <br /> as proposed. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the creation of a Cemetery <br /> Commission to manage the operation of the two Town Cemeteries. <br /> r' The Cemetery Commission would be authorized to schedule public <br /> IE <br /> hearings to assist with the development of rules and regulations for <br /> the Board of Selectmen's final review and approval. <br /> t <br /> i <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to place on the Selectmen's <br /> Agenda of October 29,2001,the creation and advertisement of <br /> a Cemetery Commission to manage the Town Cemeteries. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> 'r. <br /> i <br /> J <br /> I <br /> I <br />
