There is, concern on the part of the Accountant s <br /> office that this interface will create a legal problem as confidential <br /> information will be able to be accessed by the school . Also the <br /> Accountant may not be as up to date as the books at the school <br /> and this may create confusion . DeMoura noted that he was not aware <br /> that the Town Accountant had a problem with him tying into the <br /> computer and tie agreed to discuss this with her .. Jim asked if the <br /> printer were to have any special capabilities , as the price appeared <br /> to, be excessive . DeMoura noted that this is what has been <br /> recommended to him however he was not adverse to a different or <br /> cheaper printer as long as it did the job . Carl asked the <br /> Superintendent to check with the Accountant ' s office to make sure <br /> that he could hook into this system without problems . <br /> George Costa of the Board of Health joined the meeting to discuss <br /> the Health Department budget . George informed the Committee that <br /> the $7 , 500 in his budget for the transfer station was for a <br /> contractual agreement and he could not take that out of his budget . <br /> The Finance Committee had voted $157 , 687 for the Board of Health <br /> FY90 budget . George stated that the funds would be alloted as <br /> follows : <br /> Salaries 7 , 200 <br /> Management Salaries 59 , 017 <br /> Clerical 18 , 912 <br /> Wages 6 , 541. <br /> Expense 9 , 000 <br /> Health Services 28 , 226 <br /> Sanitation & Envir . 21 , 200 <br /> Transfer Station 7 , 500 <br /> $157 , 596 <br /> George expressed his concern about the cuts in his budget . The <br /> Chairman informed him that if there was an emergency lie could <br /> come to the Finance Committee in the fall with a Request for <br /> Transfer to be considered . <br /> The Assessors joined the meeting to discuss the Finance Committee ' s <br /> recommendation of their budget . The members expJ-aired that $50 , 000 <br /> earmarked for legal expenses has been cut .from their budget . The <br /> Executive Secretary has informed the members that Counsel Riordan <br /> would let the assessors know how much it would cost to go to court <br /> so that they would know whether going to court was cost effective . <br /> The Chairman of the Finance Committee asked the assessors to inform <br /> them in the future if they were unable to get the necessary information <br /> from town counsel . The Finance Committee has also removed $6 , 419 <br /> from the clerical salaries , as this was a new position is required <br /> an - article . A 10% cut of the total assessors budget resulted in <br /> a Finance Committee recommendation of $127 , 790 . <br />
