2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 17, 2000 <br /> CIP Review: <br /> Health Department: <br /> Transfer Station Improvements $50,000 <br /> Year#I of a 3-year program will provide drainage work, <br /> erosion control and recycling improvements to the Transfer <br /> Station. All of the work is required by DEP for compliance. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to approve Year#1 <br /> of the CIP recommendation for Transfer Station Improvements <br /> in the amount of$50,000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Fire and Rescue Department: <br /> Aerial Ladder Truck $650,000 borrowing authorization <br /> New and existing developments require this type of equipment in the <br /> event of a fire. Mutual aid can no longer serve as the primary source <br /> for this service. Low interest financing over a 15-year period is available. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to support the recommendation <br /> of the CIP Committee for an Aerial Ladder Truck as defined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Library; <br /> Renovation and Expansion $l,900,000 borrowing authorization <br /> A feasibility study is ongoing to determine space needs for the Library <br /> renovation and expansion project. Members of the Library Building <br /> Committee are expected to bring forth a recommendation to the Board. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to support the Library <br /> Renovation/Expansion proposal for a sum not to exceed; $1,000,000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
