3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 17, 2000 <br /> CIP Review: <br /> Police Department: <br /> Lease 9 Vehicles (Year#1 of 2 Year Program) $125,000 <br /> Deputy Police Chief Maurice Cooper discussed the capital improvement <br /> needs of the Police Department with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> The proposal provides for a routine regular replacement of leased police <br /> vehicles and the expansion of the fleet by one cruiser. <br /> The Selectmen requested a cost analysis of lease vs. purchase for <br /> additional review. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to support the recommendation of <br /> the CLP, and lease 8 vehicles. (Year#1 of 2 Year Program) <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Lease 2 Vehicles (Year 3 of 4) $12,800 <br /> The funding refers to year 3 of the four-year lease of two unmarked police <br /> vehicles. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to accept Year#3 of the four-year <br /> police vehicle lease as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Upgrade Dispatch Recorder(Year 42 of 3) $8,789 <br /> j The funding refers to year 2 of a three-year funding program for the <br /> replacement of an obsolete dispatch center recorder that was replaced <br /> in FY2000 with a new dictaphone recorder. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to accept Year#2 of the three-year <br /> agreement for the purchase of a dictaphone recorder. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
