9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 13, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Leisure Services— Swim_Program: <br /> Mr. Frederick recommended the Board approve the 11`h Annual Mashpee <br /> Cape Cod SuperSwim on Saturday, June 24`',2000 at John's Pond. The <br /> three-mile open water swim is available to USMS registered swimmers. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to approve and support the <br /> 11"'Annual Mashpee Cape Cod SuperSwim as outlined. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Extension of DPW Annual Bids: <br /> Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works was present to recommend the <br /> Board approve the extension of bids in the (17) categories as outlined for <br /> fiscal year 01. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the DPW Extension <br /> of Annual Bids as outlined in Mr. Taylor's memorandum of <br /> March S, 2000 for FV01 as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Town Meeting Warrant review: <br /> Special Town Meeting Warrant: <br /> Article #5: Fire&Rescue Salary/Wage Account <br /> $15,000 requested to fund remainder of the <br /> Fire &Rescue Salary/Wage Account. The shortfall <br /> is due to the increase in the number of responses. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to accept the recommendation of <br /> the Fire Chief and place the sum of$15,000 into Article#5 of the <br /> Special Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
