Further reductions will impact district goals and directly
affect the quality of the educational programs in the school system.
It was noted that a low bid was received in transportation, which reflected
a bid savings of$100,000. In special education, expenditures towards the
first quarter payments for fiscal year 2001 resulted in a savings of
$90,000. Additional savings in non-returning teachers $15,000 and
secretarial savings through the reorganization process amounted to
$14,000.
