MA 02649 <br /> FIMCE CtNMITTEE MINUTES <br /> March 21, 1991 <br /> Town Hall <br /> Present: John Ferriday, Tony Gallcq Deirdre Greelish, Carl Heller and <br /> Jim Vaccaro <br /> The Finance Committee was called to order at 6:30 p.m. John Ferriday <br /> motioned that the Committee minutes of March 14, 1991 be approved as <br /> submitted. The motion was seconded by Tony and there was a unanimous vote. <br /> Deirdre noted a typographical error -in the first sentence of page 3 of the <br /> minutes of March 19, 1991 and requested a correction. The sentence should <br /> read, "Dean noted that the majority of programs are self-funding or <br /> close to it and that last year there were 5,000 participants." Tony motioned <br /> that the amended minutes of March 19 be approved and John seconded. , There <br /> was a -unanimous vote. <br /> Members reviewed a Request for Transfer from the Treasurer/Tax Collector <br /> in the amount of $2,000 for unemployment. The present balance of this account <br /> is $366.79. Cara. Heller motioned for approval and Tony seconded.. All present: <br /> voted in favor of the request. <br /> Finance Committee members proceeded to review and make recommendations on <br /> the Annual Town Meeting money Articles. The Warrant is still in draft form <br /> so the Article numbers are still not definite. The Article numbers used in <br /> these minutes are taken from the original draft of the Warrant. <br /> Article 3 4% cost of living increase to the salary schedule of the Personnel <br /> Administration Plan <br /> Article 4 provides for a 4% cost of living increase to the hourly wage to <br /> those not in in the PAP <br /> Carl motioned that the Committee approve both -only� if• the wage freeze <br /> failed. If there is a wage freeze the Committee will not recommend. <br /> Tony secondeded the motion and there was a unanimous vote. <br /> Article 8 is the planning and design of the septage treatment facility at a <br /> cost of $100,000 <br /> Article 9 is for engineering services associated with the groundwater <br /> .contamination in the Summerwood/Ashers Path area at a cost of <br /> $127,000 <br /> Kevin Harrington recommended that both these Articles be funded - <br /> at the recommended level through bonding anticipation. He noted <br /> that a total of $1,000 in debt service will cover both.in FX92.. <br />
