Finance Committee Minutes <br /> March 21, 1991 <br /> Page 2. <br /> The first interest would be due July, 1993 and cost approximately <br /> $20,000 in FY93. He stated that this was' a way to "buy time" and <br /> seemed the best way to go at this time. <br /> John Ferriday motioned that $1,000 be borrowed through bond <br /> anticipation - $300 for each article. Tony Gallo seconded <br /> and all members voting agreed. Deirdre abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> Article 10 seeks to transfer money:rema..n..ng in the, appropriation for <br /> Article 10 of the May 2, 1988 Annual Town Meeting for the purpose <br /> of ,continuing the 'engineering services/environmental monitoring <br /> of the groundwater in the Summerwood/Ashers Path area_ <br /> John motioned -the Committee recommend the transfer and Carl seconded. <br /> All members voting agreed with the motion. Deirdre abstained. <br /> Article 15 seeks approval of Mashpee's share of the Cape Cod Tech tuition <br /> set at $229,721 <br /> Carl motioned that the Committee approve. Deirdre seconded the . <br /> motion and there was a unanimous vote of recommendation. <br /> Article 18 seeks $50,000 to fund expenses associated with the triennial <br /> revaluation of property <br /> Tony motioned that- the Committee recommend this Article and. <br /> Carl seconded. There was a unanimous vote of recommendation. <br /> Article 19 is to upgrade the position of Assistant Assessor from labor grade <br /> 8 step 5-to labor grade 11 step 5 <br /> Finance Committee discussed whether there should be any upgrades <br /> this year. Tony motioned that the Committee recommend against this <br /> Article and Carl Heller seconded. All members agreed not to <br /> recommend the upgrade for the Assistant Assessor. <br /> Article 20 is for the Data Collection position at a labor grade 6 for the <br /> Assessors Department at a total cost of $25,504.10 <br /> Jim motioned that the Committee recommend this Article for the <br /> Data Collection person at grade 6 step 1. He noted that the Article <br /> does not state step 1. Tony seconded the motion and all members <br /> were unanimous in their agreement to recommend. <br /> Article 21 is to make the Town Clerk's salary commensurate with the other <br /> town employees <br /> Deirdre motioned that the Committee recommend provided there is <br /> no wage freeze. John seconded the motion and there was umanimous <br /> approval. <br /> Article 24. seeks $15,940 for the Library Expense Account for membership in the. <br /> . CLAMS network <br /> Deirdre motioned that the Committee recommend this article. <br /> contigent upon a 22 override. John seconded the motion. <br /> This motion carried with 3 votes in favor by Tony, Deirdre and John <br /> and two opposing votes by Carl and Jim. <br />
