Meeting is scheduled at 6: 30 on <br /> Monday, and at 7 :15 the Finance Committee will recess to join <br /> the joint meeting of the School Committee and the Selectmen <br /> to discuss school space needs , and then reconvene to Finance <br /> Committee . <br /> Members have a working draft of the warrant . Members agreed <br /> that there was really no choice but to recommend the article <br /> to transfer money for the overlay deficit . <br /> The last money article on the warrant will be to vote to <br /> reduce the FY92 budgets and the Finance Committee will not <br /> know about this till. the end of the town meeting. <br /> The articleA o defer the teachers compensation, Sections 228- <br /> 231 of Chapter 138 of the Massachusetts FY92 budget will P," <br /> be recommended by the Committee. <br /> There is an article to transfer money from the Conservation <br /> Reserve Receipt Account to the Conservation Salary/Wage <br /> Account to increase Diana ' s hours . Jim cautioned that he was <br /> not sure if they should spend their reserve because they <br /> might need it next year. He further noted that it is their <br /> money however .thzngs for next year are not looking very good. <br /> Denise agreed to talk with the Conservation Agent about this . <br /> Tony expressed his concern that this will set a precedent . <br /> Members were not sure about the article concerning Beechwood <br /> Point development and disputed ownership and agreed more <br /> information was needed. <br /> Regarding the article requesting the acceptance of a . gift of <br /> land from Barbara R. Burrell there were questions regarding <br /> the loss of tax. revenue if this gift was accepted. <br /> . Members expressed concern about the article to transfer money <br /> to the Fire Salary/Wage Account to fund the contract <br /> settlement . First the contract has not been settled and <br /> secondly if it were settled there is no money to fund it . <br />
