Finance Committee Minutes
September 10, 1991
Page 7 .
The Treasurer about the feasibility of this idea. Jim noted
that this would require a town meeting approval, however- it
could be done in the Spring.
Jim noted that John Ferriday was on vacation, however he had
attended the School Committee Meeting. The School Committee
made a statement of their goals for the year. Their first
goal is to adhere to the FY92 budget, and then to spend
throughout the year, to keep other departments informed, to
review the budget monthly and to review the Special Education
budget in November. Secondly they will discuss the FY93
budget assumptions with the School Committee prior to budget
presentation. And also to include the position of Business
Manager in their budget for next year.
JIM informed the Committee that there may be $107 ,000 too
much in the Falmouth Tuition Account . Falmouth cut their
school budget and the projected enrollment went down.
Jim noted it was better to leave it as is rather than have a.
deficit later in the year .
The meeting adjourned at 8: 30 p.m.
. The next meeting. is September 16th, at 6 : 30 p.m.
f
Gail McNabb
Board Secretary
