8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 10, 2000 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing--John& Debra Netto—Livery License Application: <br /> (continued) <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the Hearing to obtain comment. <br /> James Morgan,Upper Cape Transportation asked the Board if any <br /> requests for Livery Licenses will be moving forward on tonight's agenda? <br /> Mr. Morgan has a scheduled hearing on his Livery License application. <br /> In response, the Selectmen stated that the question could not be <br /> determined since no action has been taken. <br /> Being no further comment, the Board motioned to close the Public <br /> Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to deny the application of <br /> John and Debra Netto, d/b/a Leslee's Livery, for a Livery License to <br /> operate at 281 South Sandwich Road, Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to declare a (60)day <br /> Moratorium on any new Livery License application's until a policy is <br /> set forth and approved by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Blythe. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to develop regulations for Livery Licenses with the <br /> assistance of Sergeant Umina. Current holders of Livery Licenses within <br /> the Town of Mashpee are invited to provide input into the process. <br /> Presently, there are (9) Livery Licenses and(2) Taxi Licenses in the Town <br /> of Mashpee. Comparable towns will be reviewed regarding this matter. <br />
