. n <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 10, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Approval of DPW Work on Wheeler Road: <br /> The Director of Public Works remitted a memorandum to the Board dated <br /> April 3, 2000 relative to the proposed work for the unpaved section of <br /> Wheeler Road, a private section. <br /> The issue was deferred until the next scheduled meeting. Mr. Taylor <br /> was not present to clarify issues relative to work to be performed by the <br /> Department of Public Works. <br /> Request for Approval for Grant Application--Police Department: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Chief of Police dated <br /> March 23, 2000 requesting approval to expend funds in support of a grant <br /> entitled"The Watch Your Car Program". <br /> The program is estimated to cost $2,368 annually. The sum of$625 is <br /> available in grant funds. The remainder is expected to be contributed by <br /> the Town. Discussion followed. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to deny the request to expend <br /> funds in support of the above grant request. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing—Upper Cape Transportation Corp. —Violations and <br /> Continuance of Livery License Hearing: <br /> Selectman Marsters opened the Public Hearing to continue hearing the <br /> application of Upper Cape Transportation Corporation, d/b/a Mashpee <br /> Livery, for a Livery License to operate at 25 Bowdoin Road,Mashpee and <br /> to discuss complaints of violations committed by Upper Cape <br /> Transportation Corporation, d/b/a Mashpee Taxi. <br />
