10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 24, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Appointment to Barnstable Coun . AssembIy of Delegates-. <br /> The Board of Selectmen advertised to seek individuals interested in <br /> serving as Mashpee's representative to the Assembly of Delegates until <br /> the November 2000 election. <br /> Four well-qualified individuals expressed interest in the position. The <br /> Selectmen agreed to interview the candidates at the next scheduled <br /> meeting. <br /> Lance Lambros, the Town of Sandwich representative to the Assembly <br /> was present to discuss the position with the Board. Mr. Lambros offered <br /> to assist Mashpee's representative when appointed by the Selectmen. <br /> One 1 Ambulance Abatement Request for Approval: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to approve the Ambulance <br /> Abatement request of W. G. Freeman in the amount of$396.08 <br /> reflected as Incident#00300 on the date of 2/22/00. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Blythe to authorize the Town <br /> Administrator to act on Ambulance Abatement Requests on behalf of <br /> the Board of Selectmen in the amount of$500 or less. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Request for Use of Collins Field: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal <br /> Council dated April 12, 2000 requesting the use of the Collins Field to <br /> host a one-day Youth Sobriety Pow Wow. The date is Saturday, June 3, <br /> 2000. The Council has also requested the use of Town Hall for parking, <br /> and the use of the rotary for sign placement. <br /> The use of the Coombs School is considered as an alternate site location if <br /> the event is larger than anticipated. <br />
